Trick or Treat!

This year for Halloween Ganon was Optimus Prime and Adi was a Kitty. I made a black and orange tutu for Adison's costume and I was pretty sure she would throw a fit about wearing it, but to my surprise she loved it! She was actually having a lot of fun trick or treating, she thought she was so big! Ganon has been wearing his costume at least once a week since we got it. Sami drove by my mom's the other day and Ganon was jumping on the tramp in his costume! Corbyn said look mom that looks like Optimus Prime! Such a stupid holiday, but it's all for the kids, right?!

Crazy Kids

So both of my kids think they are "Rock Stars". The other day me and Adison were in the car and Pink- So what came on, she loves that song! I was on my phone and she started hitting my shoulder and saying mom... mom... mom so I finally turned the music up and she started dancing like CRAZY, headbanging and laughing! Then the next day I was getting Ganon ready for school and he was wearing his favorite red shirt that has some kind of graphic on it and I got him a new, brown stripped sweat shirt. When he put it on he laughed and said, mom everyone is going to think I'm a Rock Star... I look so cool! LOL they crack me up

Our Never Ending Fight!

When Adison was in the Hospital she slept all the time, I couldn't even wake her up to eat. Jace and I thought we had gotten our "sweet" baby, our "I'm sorry for Ganon", but we were wrong, truth was she was just sleepy cause she was sick and once they started giving her antibiotics she started waking up like a normal newborn. And then the "fight" began! She has been HELL, she slept with us for the first 8 months while I was still nursing then getting her in her own bed was a nightmare! It took about two weeks of screaming fights at bed time to get her used to it. Then she actually started to like her crib for a while. And now we are back to screaming fights at bed time again! I'm not exactly sure what is causing it, could be that whenever I try to put her to bed and she cries Jace comes and gets her and lets her fall asleep on the couch while he watches TV, or it could be that she stayed the night with Tessa a few weekends ago and slept in her bed with her and now she thinks she needs to sleep with me I don't know but I'm going CRAZY! I don't understand why she would rather sleep on the floor or couch than in HER bed! She just likes to fight with me! In the ICU when she slept like a little angel

Family Pictures

We have taken family pictures on Escadilla every year when the leaves turn since I can remember. This year was bitter sweet, we took them a little earlier than we usually do because Kellin was leaving Oct 1 and this will be the last picture with our whole family until he gets home. It was really bright outside so they didn't turn out that great but I'm glad to have them!

Taking Kellin to the MTC

My family went to Provo on Monday to take Kellin to the MTC. It is a LONG drive, especially with two bratty girls. We took two cars my mom, dad and Kellin in one car and me, Tessa, Tae and Adi in the other! Ya we got the shaft! Anyway on Tuesday we went and walked around Temple Square and took a tour of the Conference Building and watched the movie Legacy in the visitors center. The Salt Lake Temple and all the buildings around it are absolutely beautiful! Then on Wednesday Kell had to be to the MTC at one so we went to breakfast and me and Tessa decided that it would be easier for Kellin to say bye to us at the motel, it didn't really matter where the goodbye took place it was still hard! I think that walking around the temple and watching Legacy really helped us feel better about leaving him. I am so proud of him and he is going to be such a good missionary! I can't wait for him to get to Naga to start getting letters from him! It was really hard but a truly amazing experience!

TuTu Cute!

So I saw a picture of Britney Garners little girl on her blog in a TuTu that Britney made! Ally looked very unhappy in her TuTu and my first thought was that is exactly what Adi would look like if she was wearing a TuTu! She is not at all the girl I thought I would have, she hates earrings, bows, dresses, and basically everything else that is girly. But I fell COMPLETELY in love with that little TuTu and I had to have one even if I could only get one picture in it! And just as I thought Adi is not a big fan! It is so freakin cute though I'm going to keep trying. I talk it up every time we see it I say, "Oh Adi there is your sooo cute TuTu, I love it! If you ware it I'll take your picture! Ya I'm pathetic I know! Oh crap the best part of the whole story... Ganon came home from school just as I finished the TuTu and he asked who it was for and I said Adi and he saw some more material and asked who that was for and I said I'm going to make Tae one too, he said can I try Tae's on? I said no its a TuTu for girls and he said (totally bummed out) Well can you make me a MAN suit! I thought I was going to pass out from laughing! Thanks for the cute idea Britney!

Fishing

Our friend Donny from Philadelphia has been here this week for his elk hunt. He killed an elk the second day he was here and he wasn't planning on flying out until Friday. Everyone had to go back to work and Donny was pretty bored, so me and Adi took him to Greer to fly fish. It was fun, me and Adison fed the ducks while Donny fished. When he caught a fish Adi got so excited, she even touched it!
